Firstly, we'd like to introduce the mattero Marketplace. A one-stop-shop for precedent and automation packages, valuable business services that provide a little bit of help when you need it, additional mattero modules and integration options. The Marketplace is now open for business; see for yourself today.
We always receive great feedback from our clients, and there is nothing we like more than to bring your ideas into mattero. One of your main requests was to enhance the mattero timer, so today, we're thrilled to share some highlights of the new timer functionality.
1. You can start a timer clock without being in the matter
2. You can give a timer a description to capture the essence of your work, this is especially helpful when tracking matter task activities.
3. You can see a list of ALL your timers on one central screen. From this window, you can start or pause timers, record time to a matter or clear timers that are no longer needed. One screen to see and manage your timers, making life simpler.

Before you start to use the new timers, be sure to review the 'What's Changed with Timers' article in the knowledge base to ensure that you are completely familiar with managing and working with timers, as it will have a direct impact on your billing.
Don't forget to check out the new Advanced Reporting Features. You have early access to try these from the Premium Plus package before the full suite of functionality is released in the New Year.

Timers
Create timers for all the different tasks undertaken on a matter such as Document Preparation, Meeting with Client, Discovery, or Court Attendance and keep accurate time records with the new Timer functionality.

Create a Time Record from a Task
A 'Save and Create Time' button has been added to the Edit Tasks window so you can create a new time record immediately upon completion of the task.

Add Your Team Members to Matters
Do you need to link members of your team to a matter? We've added a Matter Team Members section to Matter Contacts where you can assign all the team members working on a matter.
Set matter specific charge rates for each team member and this rate will override the default set at the user profile level. So if you need to change the charge rate for a staff member on a particular matter, now you can!

Display Custom Fields in Reports
Custom fields can be marked to 'show' on the Matter Balances and Matter List reports. During the set up of Custom Fields, select the option to 'Show' or 'Hide' the field on reports. Simply add or remove the custom field information to meet your reporting needs.
