You cannot keep the Matter Numbers from your legacy system when you import your Matters into mattero. Importing a Matter from a legacy system will cause its Matter Number (including any prefixes or suffixes) to be removed.
However, in mattero, you can set your Matter Numbers to start from a given number to provide continuity with your legacy system.
For example, if your legacy system's last Matter Number was "100", you can set your mattero Matter Numbers to start from "101" to continue the count.
