mattero’s data is stored in Microsoft Azure Data Centres and is replicated across two separate locations within Australia. This ensures no single point of failure exists within our workflow. All data and files (e.g. Documents and emails) stored in mattero are backed up regularly. We automatically update our backup database and files every four minutes.
mattero is accessed via HTTPS using Transport Layer Security (TLS). TLS is a cryptographic protocol designed to protect information transmitted over the internet, against eavesdropping, tampering, and message forgery.
mattero supports multiple methods for user authentication including mattero User Account, Microsoft Account (Live ID or Azure Active Directory) or a Google Account. If using with a Microsoft or Google account, users will inherit any password or authentication policies enforced by these services, including multi-factor authentication.
Maintain permissions to which areas and functionality users can access in mattero through Security Roles.
Password protect documents during the PDF conversion process, and it will restrict the viewing and editing access in mattero, and when sharing a PDF with a third party.
Manage the access of matters based on practice area, giving you greater control over who can work on a particular matter or type of matters.
